Magdalena Expedition
The second expedition of
Magdalena in Colombia took place. This is an event that gathers
around 350 pilots from all over the country. It begins in early
hours of the day in the city of Giradot and finishes in the city of
Ibague in the afternoon. There are beautiful landscapes and very
difficult tracks to cover and the motorcycles must cross the
Magdalena River by canoe, three at a time, and this river is very
rough. And you must also keep in mind the temperature of 40 degrees
centigrade, which is very hard on pilots. It is a very important
race where the best Enduro pilots in Colombia gather annually to
participate in this country crossing.
This event is very well
organized, with excellent guides, with high security in case of
accidents, with vehicle strategically placed to pick up motorcycles
in case of failures, refreshment zones, and the best is at the end
when the Sponsors hands over the prizes to participants of the
event.
It is a very good example of
organization of how Anicam actively participates by sponsoring the
event and supplying the participants with complete uniforms in the
closing event at the finish point.
